On December 12th, I was invited to the 2nd Charter Anniversary and Twinning Ceremony between Lions Club of Tanjung Indah (LCTI) and Lions Club of Kluang (LCK), held at the elegant Shangri-La Hotel in Penang.
The event was graced by PCC Mario Yoong, who traveled from Kluang to witness the signing of the sisterhood alliance on behalf of District B1. His presence added weight to the occasion, symbolizing the strength of inter-club relationships across regions.
The ceremony was more than a formality—it was a celebration of shared values and future collaboration. The twinning aimed to promote international understanding and open doors for joint service projects. Club officers exchanged gifts, smiles, and promises of continued partnership. The atmosphere was joyful, filled with warmth and anticipation.
In my address, I spoke of the importance of such alliances—not just for the clubs involved, but for the broader mission of Lionism: “To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world.”
Events like these reminded us that service knows no borders. When Lions come together in unity, the ripple effect reaches far beyond the room.
