Lions Club of Ipoh Bougainvillea City - Charter Presentation/Installation
On 1st November 1997 marked the formation of a new Lions Club, the LC of Ipoh Bougainvillea City (LCIBC). The club was sponsored by the Lions Club of Ipoh Host. Former Lioness, Angela Chong, was elected the Charter President of the club. She had invited some 25 Omega Leos and friends to set up this new club.
Lion President Dr. Enjer Singh from Ipoh Host initiated the induction ceremony for the new members.
I was pleased to present CP Angela Chong with the club’s Charter Certificate. In my speech, I commended the members for making a commitment to volunteer their time and energy to help the less fortunate. This very spirit of Lionism should be embodied in every Lion.

".....I found that it has always been a joy for Charter Members to be inducted together; hence to grow together, to develop Lionistic value together; and along the way to develop tolerance and sometimes to accept one another's point of view. In this way, members will gain maturity through experience. Harmony will exist and all these qualities are possible..."
