Ipoh Clubs (Peace Poster)

Lions and Lioness Club in Ipoh organised a Peace Poster Contest.

For more than thirty years, Lions clubs globally have been sponsoring the Peace Poster Contest in educational institutions and youth organizations. This initiative provided children everywhere with the opportunity to articulate their visions of peace and inspire the world through artistic expression and creativity. Our district 308B was no exception.
During the 1997-1998 period, I was pleased to see that 90% of the clubs in the district participated, either independently or by collaborating with several other clubs.
I expressed my gratitude to the district chairman for Peace Poster, David, for his diligent efforts.  He had requested that clubs submit their posters to the district for final evaluation, with the top three entries advancing to compete internationally at LCI. While the top prize may be awarded by LCI, I encouraged the participating Lions clubs to offer local prizes to further motivate the students.
I received an invitation to Ipoh to observe the event where all the Lions and Lioness clubs collaborated, attracting over 150 students, which was truly remarkable! I was delighted with the turnout, and the committed Lions truly exerted themselves. The students displayed their creativity and envisioned a peaceful world.
I conveyed my appreciation to the organizer and all Lions for their time and commitment.
